Vibrio-X

Vibrio harveyi is the root cause of vitellogenic bacteria, or luminosity-causing bacterium, which is then linked to several other illnesses. The development and activity of Vibrio spp. are increased in pond soil and water with high hydrogen sulfide levels. Its energy comes from oxidizing NH3, S, and Fe. Under salinity conditions, it grows nicely. The pH of soil and water also rises with high concentrations of hydrogen sulfide, which is favorable for Vibrio’s active reproduction. Consequently, ideal soil and water conditions need to be achieved in order to solve the vibriosis problem.

Anorexia, behavioral abnormalities, luminescence in shrimp, bronching of filaments, opaque muscle, black or brown lesions, decreased feed intake, melanization of appendage tips, necrosis and inflammation in lymphoid organ, and bacterial development are among the symptoms. Additionally, 100% mortality is reported.

Bactericidal effects are produced when microorganisms compete with Vibrio sp. to reduce their number. By breaking down organic materials and removing harmful substances from the pond, they also create exudates that shield animals from illness.
