The quality of the soil, water, seed, and feed all affect the success of aquaculture. Under expert management procedures, a decent quality of soil, water, seed, and feed always yields a satisfactory harvest. Unused feed materials, cultured stock excretions, dead algae, shed shells, and surface runoff from organic materials transported by the wind and water can all build up in the ponds.
Toxic and malodorous gases like H2S and NH3 are produced when any of these compounds remain partially or completely unbroken in low oxygen environments. Additionally, toxic gasses including NO2, CH4, and others are created. These gasses cause stress in the cultured stock, which in turn causes a decrease in growth and mortality.

This product uses a tolerable range of 0 to 50 ppt. salinity to effectively maintain a clean pond by breaking down organic matter and sediments, blocking toxic materials and gases, raising dissolved oxygen, lowering BOD and COD levels, preventing pathogenic microorganisms, and controlling algal bloom.
